Thanks for that. I've not been able to add to or alter the MPS section as I
haven't yet located the pointers to its offset and size unless they are
calculated from the other subfile blocks

 In your great Gmaptool you give the length of the mps block which often
seems longer than  what it appears to be - perhaps I'm wrong.

However, I think you are right there seems to be an issue here
