I doubt that Windows will expand "*.img" for you.

If you use the shell from within Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) I bet 
that it will work, once you've sorted out shell script line 
terminations.  For older versions of Windows there's also 
http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/ , but I've had issues with the Bash in 
there on Windows 7.
