[mkgmap-dev] Missing housenumbers in search index?

From Gerd Petermann gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Mon Mar 19 18:54:48 GMT 2018

Hi Lorenzo,

I think Garmin doesn't allow the combination of numbers and characters. Normally mkgmap encodes only number for a road,
but maybe you have different roads with the same name and number,e.g road 1 with 26a and road 2 with 26b.
Do you have an example for me?

Gerd

Thank you Gerd, I confirm searching for other numbers works.

What about housenumbers with letters and other characters, like 26/A?
If I search for it entering 26 (my Garmin allows only numbers in that
field), in the result list there more 26 and one of them is actually
26/A.

Lorenzo
