[mkgmap-dev] Move to Java 1.8

From Gerd Petermann GPetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Mon Aug 1 11:39:42 BST 2016

Hi Steve,

okay, reg. fastutil:

I want to compare 6.5.15 with 6.6.x and 7.*both with splitter and mkgmap.

I'll try to gen the java sources on my machine, if that doesn't work I'll let you know.

As a first step I think you should only compile the existing libs for 1.8.

I assume it is better to give those new versions a different name?

Gerd

OK thats changed so any new build of mkgmap/splitter will be built
with java 8. I will remove the "1.7" lines in the build.xml and
commit to create the first java 8 build.

Are you looking to use 7.0.x of fastutil? If so I will build a trimmed jar
of it.
