I have only a 'problem', when using the testmap or no map  at all (i.e.  
basemap of unit).
Btw: Maybe the big circle only occurs when the unit is *off* the 
testmap. I'm not sure what happens if the actual position is *on* the map.

If I use a reasonable map with the default style and the latest revision 
(or some older) of mkgmap then everything works fine for me.
