[mkgmap-dev] Deletion of unneeded hgt files

From Gerd Petermann gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Sun Apr 4 10:26:24 BST 2021

Hi Carlos,

reg. N64W180.hgt:
I've not recorded where I got my files from, but yes, it's a 3'' file and I got most of them from viewfinderpanoramas.
I'll triple check if OSM contains any data for this area or did you do this already?

Gerd

Correct

According to Google satellite imagery, this tile is all sea. Where did
you get it from? I can only find 3 arcsec tile from viewfinderpanoramas
for this tile, no 1 arcsec in VFP, SRTM or ALOS.
