[mkgmap-dev] Commit r3971: - roadNameConfig_v1.patch by Carlos Davida which adds more countries and languages

From Alexandre Loss alexandre.loss at gmail.com on Wed Jun 14 19:03:33 BST 2017

Hi Carlos,

In our project here in Brazil (tracksource.org.br), we started using this
new feature with the following configuration:
# portuguese
prefix1:pt = "Rua", "Avenida", "Travessa", "Alameda", "Beco", "Praça",
"Rotatória", "Via", "Viela", "Estrada"
prefix2:pt = "da ", "do ", "de ", "das ", "dos ", "para "

Gradually and with more tests we should consider the expansion to other
prefixes.
With this configuration we obtained a 27 MB reduction in the size of our
index file (whole Brazil).

Regards,

Loss
