Tested this on Etrex Legend HCx (software 3.2)

Find > Addresses: 
 <Enter Region> has list: Danmark, Sverge - didn't select either
 <Enter City> has list starting with "Albertsund Kommune, Reg" - select
 <Enter Number> - skip over
 <Enter Street Name> long list probably like yours

Both give long list of streets. The start of the lists look the same,
showing Æ* names. The Æ result list goes on to show Af*, Ag* etc.
The Ae result doesn't do this
