[mkgmap-dev] Maximum map size

Hi,

Could you please tell me the maximum map size.
I know it is around the 4GB mark, but no idea what the exact size limit is.
Currently the gmapsupp file is 3951493120Bytes, how much larger can it 
get before it is broken?
