Presumably you are referring to city POIs .
In my experience all line & polygon types have the same default text size,
but remember this is firmware dependant so this could depend on your device.
Line text seem to be always left aligned unlike some pois

Basecamp has (had?) an interesting feature that the default textsize/colour
if set by one type in a TYP file also gets applied to pois which have no
textsize specified.
