[mkgmap-dev] Malformed piers and other issues

From Gerd Petermann gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Mon Jan 13 16:39:45 GMT 2014

Hi Mira,

The optimization of roads is the most
complex part, that's why I've started with that. Now I am working on
shapes. I hope in the end I'll have a few algos which are fast enough to
reduce all errors which are caused by rounding to map units, no matter
whether lines are routable ways or not.
As long as you use resolution 23 for level 0 you have to live with big
rounding errors.

Gerd

I just noticed that you don't use --route
The branch optimizes only routable ways and their copies (overlaying lines)

Hi Gerd

Make my maps route-able is planned but I didn't know that have them "non-route-able" can effect other things.
