[mkgmap-dev] Commit: r2518: Allow to pass a zip file to the precomp-sea option. Files in the zip file are expected to be a directory sea or directly in the root.

From GerdP gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Thu Mar 7 23:06:01 GMT 2013

Hi Felix,

I did not notice a change in performance during my tests, but I did not test
a "cold system". That means,
I repeated the reading of the zip file and the reading of a directory again
and again.
I assume you'll see a small improvement with a zip file if you use it
directly after a reboot.

Gerd
