I noticed that data from overpass doesn't contains a bounds
line so I added one by hand.

Anyway, --ignore-osm-bounds does not help on my error.

Also using the default style does not help.

Maybe my java is defective, I have this error since
a java update.

On the other side, I still can compile osm.pbf files
generated by splitter.
