<p>sorry, I cannot reproduce that result. I used your input file (13998319 bytes) and created a style as you described,

<p>As expected I see a part of the Chiemsee and three empty areas in it (at zoom level 3 and below)</p>
<p>So I guess you are looking at out-aged data or the input file changed in the mean time.<br>
</p>
<p>BTW: The tile boundary of the input file goes straight through the Chiemsee (relation 32246),</p>
<p>that's why I only see a part of it.<br>
</p>
<p>So, please double check your process and if that doens't help:<br>
</p>
<p>The only other input file is the bounds file. I cannot think of a good reason why that would</p>
<p>change the result unless it is somehow corrupted.</p>

<p>Next, you can enable logging so that you see what happens in mkgmap.</p>

<div dir="ltr">I guess the area_size() function kinda checks if it's big enough - and in turn does not check anymore if it is part of the multipolygon or not. Else I really cannot explain the flooding. I can change all lines which have 0x3c to a unique number
 - and check which line it is. Will do so tomorrow. However there is clearly some bug.<br>
