[mkgmap-dev] Any way to get SPEED LIMITS to pop up on my Garmin GPS, like they do on City Navigator?

From Gerd Petermann GPetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Thu Jan 21 20:53:19 GMT 2016

You can start here:

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mkgmap/dev

I've installed TortoiseSVN which also contains options to create or apply a patch,

https://tortoisesvn.net/index.de.html

if you don't prefer to use the svn command line tool.

Yes, I see this. But I do not see any speed limit sign on my GPS (Montana 600) generated with mkgmap r3659

Can you point me to a link showing how to add a PATCH V1 to MKGMAP. I downloaded the source code, but I do not know how to apply the patch and complie?

(running Windows 7 x64)

Hi Greg,

the default style evaluates maxspeed, see inc\roadspeed

I have been entering SPEED_LIMIT=X in the OSM maps and it would be nice to see this info on the maps I build. The NUVI DASHBOARD on my GPS pops up Speed LIMIT when running City Navigator 2016.20. Has this been implemented in mkgmap?
