I've not run it before, so don't know how long it will take or
it I am doing it right.  After a while the number did change.

Now I've got an out of memory error, so now trying it with
-Xmx8g

.. and it appears to be working much faster with the extra memory, even 
though it did not appear to be using much when I first checked.
