Hi Steve

I agree the last 4 bytes seem to refer to some form of  'density' with
islands and often 'coast line' tiles showing a lower number, at least in GB
and Holland.

regarding &53 ,  I've never seen this additional  copyright block being
referred to in  Mapsource itself.
