[mkgmap-dev] Enabling routing in map

Hi all-

I've been doing some research on maps and mapping and I'm curious how the "routing" feature works in mkgmap insofar as it makes a map routable on a device.  I'm trying to learn the underlying algorithms that a device or program might use; clearly there is some sort of additional data being added that makes a map eligible for the routing algorithm to do its job.
